The Bev Reed Award

Beginning with 2023, each year, FBS will award one MLS Staff Member with an expenses-paid trip to the annual FBS Summit as the recipient of the Bev Reed Award. The Bev Reed Award recipient will be someone who exemplifies MLS leadership and partnership with FBS through actions, communication and participation for the improvement of the Flexmls Platform, the MLS and its members/subscribers.

The recipient of the Bev Reed award will be:

 

  • Curious – a learner open and willing to take on insight and knowledge from others

  • Empathetic – a thoughtful communicator who will guide others

  • A current FBS customer of the Flexmls Platform at the time of the Summit

  • Someone who could really benefit (and subsequently add MORE value to their MLS and subscriber/members) from deeper understanding that comes from Summit

  • Willing to speak up and challenge the status quo

  • Responsible for working with subscribers/members as a primary part of daily work

  • Undaunted by change, having both courage and constitution to work with and through change

  • Willing to sit in the front row at Summit (or bring that front row energy to whatever seat they choose)

 

When evaluating candidates, FBS will give precedence to those with geographic or financial considerations that may have made Summit more difficult to attend. We seek candidates who have a broader understanding and/or participation in industry issues, as we recognize that relevant and timely information from the Summit will help them better support their membership.
